Response to Herzog & de Meuron’s Rehab at Cork International Film Festival

John McLaughlin will be part of a panel invited by l’Institut Francais as part of their “Nuit des Idées” to respond to the film Rehab (from Rehab) by Louise Lemoine and Ila Bêka (2023). Recounting her personal story as a young girl who spent her childhood in rehabilitation centres alongside her severely disabled father, Louise Lemoine confronts her traumatic memories with the exceptional experimentation developed at REHAB in Basel, a building built twenty years ago by Herzog & de Meuron Architects. The film will screen on Wednesday 1st of May 2024 in the Arc Cinema in Cork at 6pm followed by the panel discussion which will be chaired by Anna Kopecka, artistic director of the Cork International Film Festival.
