JMLA featured in new book – Architecture After Covid
December 20th, 2022
We have been featured in a new international publication by leading architectural theorist Prof Albena Yaneva of the University of Manchester, looking at the impacts of Covid 19 on the practice of architecture. For her research Prof Yaneva, who studies the ways that architects practice architecture, carried out a major international survey of practices globally. Exploring how Covid modified the spatial conventions of everyday life, it shows how the continuing risk of pandemics leads us to rethink the social dimension of architecture and urban design. In the case of JMLA this is influencing the ways that we are designing a number of public spaces to enable holding social and cultural events outdoors.
