JMLA win Lusitania Museum competition

A team led by JMLA has been selected through competition to design a new Lusitania Museum on the Old Head of Kinsale. The site is next to a Napoleonic signal tower on the spectacular headland. The tower already houses a local studies museum and there is a memorial garden at the base of the tower. Our design will restore the walled enclosure of the tower by burying the museum below ground thus minimising the visual impact on this area of outstanding natural beauty.
