John McLaughlin speaking at symposium in Royal Academy of Fine Art Copenhagen

January 6th, 2020

John McLaughlin will be speaking about our exhibit Mnemonic Space at the Words + Works 2019 Biennale in the Royal Academy of Fine Art Copenhagen on the 20th of January 2020. The exhibit explores the role of memory in architecture through our project for public spaces in the National Archives of Ireland in Dublin. John’s talk will cover the role of memory and the crucial role that archival records have in the tracing of people in the wider context of the UN Goals for Sustainable Development which are the theme of the biennale. An essay on the same subject will be published by the Royal Academy of Fine Art in a forthcoming book edited by the curators.
