Mariner Mews Completed

Our small mews house on a corner site in Dún Laoghaire is now fully completed. This house balances strict rules for the development of mews sites in a conservation area with the clients desire for a modern house full of daylight. The design achieves this through a generous courtyard providing sunny outdoor space with an open plan living and dining area at first floor level that maximises the light and interesting views from the site. The burnt larch cladding of the first floor box floats above more traditional granite garden walls below. These elements are integrated with modern timber-frame construction to deliver an A-rated environmental design incorporating solar power generation.
