Christmas Crib in St Teresa’s Church

We are currently designing a series of interventions for St Teresa’s Church in Clarendon Street Dublin for the Order of Discalced Carmelites. The community asked us to design a crib to go into a side chapel of the church.The plaster figures have belonged to the church for many years so we scaled the other elements in relation to them. We placed an illuminated screen of stars behind a simple frame structure for the stable. We lit the mosaics above the altar and hung a star from the arch overhead.
