Irish Pavilion Opens in Venice Biennale

The Irish Pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale opened on the 27th August 2012. The pavilion, titled Shifting Ground is the last exhibit  in the Arsenale de Venezia, and is specifically concieved as a closing piece at the end of that section of the Biennale incorporating an oscillating wooden bench that allows people to rest. It was formally inaugerated by Patrick Hennessy, Ireland’s Ambassador to Italy.
